I was getting ready to post this painting I did when I started reading all the posts about tracing and copy right. The reason I bring this up is that I was inspired by a black and white magazine ad, I think it might had been draino or something like that. I did not trace or use a projector, (I really don't like doing either, it takes away from it being really mine) but I used the basic shape of the spiro of drain cleaner coming down into the water to eat away at the grime as my base for my painting. I turned the grime into an underwater city and the spiro into a mythical sea creature. The name of the piece comes from a "mood" I was in that day. As the underwater city people wake up and see inside the belly of the sea creature and the sea creature is not getting his breakfast, it gives you the feeling of "Just Another Bad Day".
I had a blast with the colors. Since blue is my favorite, that became the creature. I hope everyone here enjoys it. I mostly post either in pastels or oil.
