All the trees turned green on my birthday...what a nice surprise. It has been a miserable winter here on the East Coast, and it is so nice to see some flowers and grass.

I'm sure you all have been painting masterpieces all winter or maybe just taking photos, or making delicious soups and stews. Let us know how it went for you whether in snow or sun.

Janet - that sounds like a lovely birthday.

I'm glad winter is gone. I love hearing the leaves stirring with the breeze and having the windows open.

Janet what a nice gift for your birthday, green trees. Our summer is just about over, still a few nice days but they are getting further apart. I guess the weather had to change some time. Bit of cool is good and the rain is more than welcome.

Robin I will miss having the windows open, such a lovely feeling the breeze through the house. But seeing the cats snuggled in front of the heater is also a lovely sight I'm looking forward to. They also like to snuggle on my lap in the cooler weather too so I feel like I'm the one being spoilt not them :)

Hope everyone else is doing well.

this month is flying by......the garden and yard work is getting in hand...maybe I can do more art ....picked a few branches of blooming privet and a clutch of blooming honeysuckel...ahhhh, the house is filled with their heavenly fragrance....

Here's a landscape I did yesterday. I really need to clarify a bit with ink .
Oh yesterday I bought a sleeveless shirt and sewed 4 pockets on the front making slots for paint brushes and pens and places for tissue and sponges. This is to wear when I'm plein air at a cafe or in the car. The brushes kept rolling around - very inconvient! Can't wait to try it out today.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/18-May-2011/88676-land171.jpghttp://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/18-May-2011/88676-pockets172_copy.jpg
