Our llustrator for May: CHARLES ROBINSON 1870-1937

Born in Islington, London in 1870 into a family of illustrators, he served his apprenticeship as a printer and took art lessons at night.

Mr. Robinson seemed to use different styles...so you have your pick. He also did some wonderful black and white pictures.

I forget the name of this illustration...so I'll just call it Bird Girl. Pen and ink in sketch book.

Charles Robinson did some remarkable work. Here's my take on Alice's Adventures. Kind of messed up on the background but loved doing this one.
