Early Evening coastal

I have been away studying for three months and am now back hopefully to visit you all again and see your lovely work. This is a small oil painting of which I am doing a coastal series. I am finding working small on linen canvas is great for me at the moment, and useful for study purposes too, such as values and will glazes work! This is 10 x 14 inches, I am trying to keep my seascapes soft at the moment and have been trying out some new colours more of that later!

Hello Ron it is great to be back! thank you for your comment it was a difficult painting to balance I didn't want the sand area to be too dark yet the sky was pretty strong with that indian yellow.

We just decided to visit scotland next year again. More north this time.
