Here's my latest board 8x10 - ref by kind permission of Tambako (flickr). Still lots to do - I'm concentrating on his head but the body is just in the rough state using fgb.

You certainly have some great control over that f/g brush Jen. Lovely crop and looks like it will be another winner.

Coming along nicely Jenny

Jenny... While i've always admired the work you have done.... I think your ANOTHER person that has really picked it up a notch. We have all grow collectively, more than we ever could have ,working in isolation. GREAT looking start...if you call that a start.

This is so nice. Could you please tell me, since you have done it so well, how you capture that baby innosence in the eyes, verses an adult eye?
Jenny, this is coming along sooooooo great!!! :)

That shoulder and leg on the left hand side shows just how strong this cub is going to be as it grows up.

Just beautiful Jenny. You've done a tremendous job on the fur.
04-04-2011, 10:37 AM

Thank you Lesley, Sue, Harold, Greg and Lynn.
Rod - you are too kind - I too can't believe my progress - I feel that me and scratchboard were meant to be but the workshop really gave me a good kick start! I'll never be able to give you guys enough thanks:wave:
Patrick - thanks for the info - you being fortunate enough to get so close to them!
Fay - re the eyes - just luck as I try not to think of them as eyes more shapes within shapes and with a good clear ref its so much easier.
Diana - I thought you might ask for closeups so thought I'd save time;)

Jenny...photographer may have given the crop, but you had the good eye to see that it would make a great scratchboard.:)
Beautiful eye...it looks so moist!

I think this one is finished - unless someone spots something which needs attention. Wasn't sure where to sign it so hope it looks ok?
Thanks again Lorna, Angela, Wendy, Mark and Irfan for taking the time to look and comment.

Thank you so much Harry, Sam, Lesley, Eilis & Judy - so pleased you like it. However I keep looking at and feel that its not quite done yet! Don't know why at this stage but will just prop it up and keep looking at it from time to time before I decide to spray.

Yup...it's unanimous...it's an awesome finish!
I think where you signed might be too low for when you frame it...it will be covered up? Perhaps go a bit higher up and give it a light ink wash just so it's not white white.
