Hi guys. I've been working on a pastel for a while so no scratchboards recently but here's the progress shots of my horse that Eilybaby requested for the swap/challenge

Original reference was my own

5x7

This is with the background scratched off and the horse nearly done

I was able to guess your piece because of the background as well. Very cool!!

Thanks guys :) Actually, this is the fourth background I've done like this so I was thinking I'd be guessed more. Allan would have guessed if he'd tried (grrrr  ) because he has one of mine with a background a bit like this.

Gawd, can't remember which one I guessed was yours but def did not pick you doing this one - sneaky! It's a nice piece though!

 I'm also in the 'bad choosers' category. I had you down for another couple of choices. Cool piece...

Never would have guessed this was yours! What tool did you use to initially scratch the horse? This is so good!

Thanks guys and I'm glad you like it Eilis. You know I adore yours!!

Diana, I would say it's 93.5% fibreglass brush, as light a touch as possible.

The second image with colour on the horse is too washed out, it's more like the final image which I think is pretty accurate.

In the guessing game I was very pleased that some people had put me down for the ones that Lorna and Diana did - that made my day!! :D

Great piece Patrick! I didn't think this was yours at first but then I rememberd the cockrel you did with the blue oil paint background and then I had another look at the horse and then I knew it was yours!:D
