This is my latest scratchboard - 11" x 14" and the reference photograph was used with permission by Mauro Luna FlickR. I'm not sure about the title, as "Hide and Seek" was suggested by none other than my better half :wink2: and I kinda like it, he also suggested "In the Shadows" so was hoping you could help me decide!

I have also completed an 8" x 10" board which is on it's way to the UK and is a surprise gift so will show when it has been received.

Ah, you know me so well! Thanks for the close-up. This is incredible! The only suggestion I have is removing the dark outline around the leaves by it's mouth. But that is a pet peeve of mine and it could stand as is! Really great feel here. It doesn't give the impression of being dangerous. Just chillin'.

Will do Diana, I have some very, very light scratches there so will re-do! Thanks for your suggestion.

"At the ready" since it is resting in the shade but looks very alert, just in case an opportunity to hunt comes by. Magnificent work by the way, absolutely!!

That is better with the leaf by the mouth...pet peeve of mine, too :wink2:

This is just gorgeous, Judy. I like the hint of reflected light coming from below on the animal.

I like the titles PeekaBoo and Hide and Seek, but In the Shadows is more....dignified...is the word I think I'm looking for.

Beautiful work as always.

Judy... \/\/ \/\/ \/\/WWWOWWWWwwwwwww!! STUNNER of a piece!!! this is great looking! I agree whole hearted with the "Pet Peeve" thing. Personally, I would hit those areas again a lil more... but, that's just me. Judy, I think that this has to be right there with your best.

Wow-wee! Stunning! Good job on the fixes too. Maybe just brighten up the area under the leaves by his jowls - but really, it's such a strong piece that it doesn't detract very much.

I like your original title of "Hiding Place". It hints at a bit of a story behind it and gives some extra movement to that big kitty - seems to rest back in the foliage more.

Alternatively, I really like Patrick's suggestion too. "At The Ready" seems to bring him out of the bushes and still hints at a story line for your viewer to ponder over.

A+!

Just wanted to pass on my thanks to all for your very comments; it's your positive comments that makes one try each and every time to do something just a little more challenging than the one before!

Harry, Greg, Lorna, Harold, Mark, Pamela, Wendy and of course Rod.....thank you again.

Thank you Gail, Janice, Eilybaby.

Tigress: Thanks - I've had so many great suggestions re titles and so far have stayed with 'Hiding Place' as it's too hard to decide.
