Great stuff yellow is a hard colour to get shadows working on but you nailed it here. One small crit you wrote the lettering rather than painted it, which makes it sit a little awkwardly with the rest of the brushwork.

Nice work! Love it. Great values and depth.

Back in Jan. when OPS was out there I painted some of the train there by the depo.... it beat me down. :(

Thanks Kirby & Jessica!

Rob, I appreciate the comments. I would love to see an example of painting the letters. Is the writing within the white rectangle closer?

Steve, I got a glimpse of that train depot painting you are talking about. It looked far from a beat down to me. I remember liking it very much!

Nice painting! One small thing, the perspective on the roof of the little pop up part looks off a little. Other then that it looks great.

Is the writing within the white rectangle closer?

Yes. Sorry Randy, a bit picky I know, but essentially the writing is to my eye a bit too readable and made up of the sort of strokes you use when writing with pen. If it had been a bit of red mechanical detail rather than lettering would you have painted it like that? It's only that the rest is so well reduced to it's essentials that it jumps out a wee bit too much.

George, your comment made me dig up a photo from the site to see that weird angle on the building. It was there. Very strange looking, but there. :?)
Rob, I've agreed with many of your comments on other posts. You have a great eye. Thanks for the input, these are the kind of comments you can only get from other artists and thats why I'm here. I think my 25 years of sign making crept into my painting.

Larry & Jamie, your comments made my day. Very appreciated!
