Archival Marking Pens
Many of us focus on completing our art that we forget the importance of the final step of the process; signing our artwork. From signing watercolors, illustrations, to photographs, using a pen that’s going to last is as important as working with sound art supplies.
The key feature in marking pens that makes them stand out is they use pigmented inks versus dye based inks. Because dye based inks are prone to fading, they don’t stand the test of time on your artwork. Eventually your signature will fade away, leaving only a shadow behind. Marking pens, however, are pigmented, in that the inks are lightfast, permanent, and archival. They hold a bold, solid line that will remain for years to come.
