Many thanks to Marcus Ranum (DA Mjranum) for providing the reference photo for the drawing below. The model is Zinn Star. The piece is soft pastels on 19" x 27" Colourfix paper.

What are your thoughts? I'd particularly like your thoughts on proportions and color values.

Thanks!

Hia Felix, I like this , its a pleasant ladylike pose:D ... I think the proportions look good to me but, her hands I feel could do with abit more defining and more of a wrap to the one on her arm I feel , maybe , I tried it out sitting on the floor and grabbed my top part of my arms like that , interesting pose I must say ....I love the colours but I think you could push the contrasts even more on this ....

Nice job Felix, I like the pose, OK I'm no expert but the proportions work for me and I like the lights you have used which give the impression of bright lighting from the upper left

nice work. The area around her left hand/shoulder area is a bit confusing. Maybe not in real life. Great feet!

All -- thanks for your great comments. Here's the latest version? What do you think? I'm not happy with the hands, particularly the left one, but they're now becoming a muddy mess.

Here's a link to the reference photo: http://mjranum-stock.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d38ln8v. I'm pasting the photo below in case you can't access deviantart.com.

Thanks!

Wow , you really pushed a total change in colours in this, at looking from the ref to yours ... I feel your running into probs with that hand because I think it should read alot lighter then the tones on her arm for a start , thats what Im reading on my screen, but Im on my laptop atm so not to sure ...I totally love pastels but the more we play with them the more harder they are to control as you know !!
