Here's something I did for my Little Princes. She kept asking me to do a board for her so I sat down and gave it a go. It's a 3"x5".
She was happy with it so that was good enough for me :smug::D
Scalpel (#11 blade) and Ampersand black ink wash.
Thanks for lookin
It doesn't match her "Paris" themed room...but she said that's OK with her :D

Aw that's so good Allan. I'll be she was super proud of it. I don't know how you guys do these tiny little boards. Never ceases to amaze me.

What a nice daddy you are...nice one Allan!

Lesley...Thanks :) I feel the same way when I see those crazy nuts workin on the big boards!
Lorna...Thanks! :D She has a...way...with me...on certain things :D
Rod...Thanks Man! The frames for these....little boards aren't too expensive too :D
It was fun and I do plan on doin this on a larger board. I found the ref pic on flickr and contacted the photographer. He said sure! When I do the "big board" I'll have a print made, sign it and send it off to him for payment. He was more than happy with that agreement. It's one of the wolves at Wildlife Prairie Park just outside of Peoria here...so I thought I'd see if they would like a print for one of their fund raising events. But....gotta do the big board first! and I might get a better photo the next time I go there.

Well done and particularly so given the size.

Thanks Harry :)
To all of you out there amazed by the size...If you give the smaller one's a try you might find out how shockingly easy they are. Cut out a 3x5 rectangle out of a piece of paper, hold it over a section on a board you have done that has a lot of detail in it. See....not THAT hard to do.:)

Maybe you could do one for her in bright pink.
It's really nice Allan. Can you be my daddy too?

Bright Pink? Hey I could print out a copy of it x 4, have each one a different color, all Andy Warhol like.....
Nope....Still isn't all Paris like

I actually really like the Andy Warhol versions  But, besides that you did a really nice job! I especially like the fine detail on the ears.

I love these little 3x5's. So much detail on such a tiny board. I agree that the Warhol version is pretty cool.

You all are crazy. You make me laugh a lot.
This is nice Allan and I like the print payment idea with another for the Park to use as a fund raiser. Very cool!

Very cool, I don't know how you do such a great job on those small boards.
02-22-2011, 06:39 PM
Yeah!!!!! That's one cool montage!! Warhol would have come to you for advice!
02-23-2011, 11:58 AM
Aw, I bet she loves it! I hate to disagree with you, but I have tried the smaller boards and I think they are harder than the larger ones. I admire those of you who can do them.
02-23-2011, 03:56 PM
Very nice Allan. I like the Warhol ones too.

Beautiful work, I love that ear fluff :D Also I'd just like to praise you on your ability to actually scratch a signature (especially on such a small board too), that is something I have not yet been able to perfect lol :)
