Kelly Moore USO Paris Artist of the Month for March 2003
Paris France
March 7, 2003, the USO Paris office will host a vernissage at 18H 30, to showcase the work of American artist Kelly Moore. Completely self taught with no formal training in art Moore began painting 7 years ago at 35. Moore claims intuition as his point of compass for starting a painting.......
"I Believe in the power of unfiltered expression that has not been schooled, trained or mainstreamed into someone else's idea of art."
Mr. Moore’s paintings will be on display at the Paris USO office, 20 rue de la Tremoille, through March 31st. For further information on Moore's paintings go to

Congrats Kelly, Way to go.
And although vernisage is a french word it is not exclusively used in France, but in a lot of european countries as well.

pronouce vair-nee-s-ha-jeu
direct translation is varnishing day
in fact it is a cocktail party in the gallery the first day of the exhibition
where you can meet the artist.
The champagne wine helps a lot for money to change from one pocket to the other

Cool!!!!! Paris... c'est une belle ville!!!
Let us know how it went. And I like the term "vernissage"... sounds so much better than "opening". I wish they used that here!

kelly, I'm so disappointed I missed this post! I would have loved to pop over on the Eurostar to see your show. :) Bummer. Hope it went really well and you enjoyed the visit!
