Here are the instructions for the Inked Flowerpot piece that I taught last night. It was inspired by Flattwo. I think you could do this one on your own:

QUICK INKED Flowerpot inspired by Flattwo at wetcanvas.com

Thank you Flattwo for this inspiration.

1. Draw a flowerpot with flowers and leaves and a horizonline which is a table top.

2. Outline everything with permanent ink (Sharpie pen is a good brand).

3. Mix up 3 large puddles of paint in separate areas. The colors should be bold, very strong, and bright but mixed with a lot of water, almost like dye. (like green, yellow, and some color for the flower)

4. Mentally or lightly in pencil, block off the painting into several very irregular shapes (6-8 shapes is good) Shadow side and sunny side of background, pot, flowers, and table.

5. Wet the painting completely (even the table, flower, pot, and leaves) (no lakes or puddles) but you want it to stay wet while you paint the background.

6. On the flower petals, part of the pot (shadow side), and part of the table (shadow side), and a couple of places in the background, drop in the flower color-- bright paint, allowing it to spread on its own. You have to work fast!!!!!!

7. On the leaves, drop in green (shadow areas), then yellow (sunny areas), allowing it to spread on its own. Keep working fast!

8. On the sunny side of the pot, table, and background, drop in the yellow color and a little green. Whew!!!! Then on the shadow side of the pot, table, and background, drop in green and then a little yellow.

9. Sit back and watch the paint start to dry; when it is about halfway dry, sprinkle with alcohol.

10. When it is completely dry, using pemanent black ink, start outlining the spots left by the alcohol. Continue inking irregular areas until the entire painting is inked. It will look like a stained glass window. Then, if you wish, you can paint in details with watercolor.
