Has anyone seen this about 1,000 Journals (http://1000journals.com/index.php?view=About/Index) sent around the country/world and each person adds a page and passes it on! Also, here is a book on Amazon of some. (http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0811858561)

And then there is this page:

On this one, you can sign up for a journal! Just crossed my mind that it would be cool maybe to have a traveling WetCanvas journal like that. How neat to look at the actual and for real drawings of our friends here rather than just online images of them. Browsing through such a journal would be very cool.

Just a random thought. . .
Have a great weekend all.

Thanks for sharing. That is an interesting thought about a WC traveling journal.

It can be done, though with a large number of hops there is always the risk of the journal going astray.

It was done with the Round Robin project. (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112352)

I've taken part in 3 - you've got to be careful who is in the group as one floundered - one member sat on our moleskine books for months as they arrived until they had about half of them, not responding to emails, before finally saying they couldn't take part after all and having done no work in them.

At the end another member said she had arranged an exhibition and could she have all the books - she didn't return them The organiser got no response from emails or letters.. :( - total disaster

Another stalled at times due to personal problems people had, but the group kept in touch and it finished as planned, just a little late.

Another ran brilliantly. We had a group blog (http://flyingpictures.wordpress.com/), everyone was totally reliable and it was a great success. We sent all our books to the organiser to do a talk about the project/exhibition and all came back safely.

I've just agreed to take part in another, again with a group blog. (http://walk-postcard.blogspot.com/)This time sending a postcard (sketch/painting plein air) once a month from a walk. The first cards go off at the end of the month and it will last 14 months.
