I had been looking for paste for my preschoolers' art shelf, just like I used when I was a kid. But no teachers' supply store or artists store had it locally or in the DC Metro area and one teachers' store ordered Ross brand paste for me but it was discontinued by the manufacturer.
I found some brownish paste at a Pla-za art store but it was expensive and evidently for archival scrapbooking and book restoration.
I heard that one mail order school supply store (Beckly-Cardy) had it but those plces are expensive and take a while to get things to you.
Well I finally found several places that sell Elmer's paste in two varieties and many sizes. I got a case of twelve 5-ounce bottles with the plastic spreader spatula under the cap for Office Quarters. (They also have Prismacolors and Verithins at a good price!)
So now I am happy. The Hunt was successful.
I have put several on the art shelf and now the kids can use paste and I don't have to dish it out from gallon jars and it doesn't dry out.
