View Full Version : Portraits in oil.

That old saying,,," you'll never know 'till you try " how true, oil painting again after many years has been most satisfying and good for the soul as they say.
My efforts have been mostly confined to landscapes and they have turned out what I would consider to be reasonably good.
I would like to attempt a portrait in oil, it has been suggested that I should use the " wet on wet " method which according to what I was told would make it easier to blend the facial tones.
I would appreciate any input on this subject,,,,,thank you.

Glad to hear that you're painting again.

Your query will get more attention if you post it on the general oilpainting forum and not here on the "Painting from the Masters" part.

In any case, you could do a search for "wet on wet" and you're bound to find a lot of info here on WC.
