"Trees by a Field"

9x15", xerox copier print on domestic etching, with pencil shading added. Original drawing 7x10" with Sanford Calligraphy pen, also on domestic etching. Based on my own photograph. Print is not this pink color. It is the color of domestic etching.

How I do these is at my post "How Anybody Can Make a Print" in PRINTMAKING.

My work is at http://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/s/spocari/

Hey Thrash! Good to see you posting in here. I saw this piece in P&I and made my comments there. Are you using Gum Arabic to transfer the copier ink?

No. I just cut domestic etching to 11x17" and run it through the copier. It's the same paper the original drawing is on, and they look the same. Then I shaded it with No. 2 & 3 yellow pencils. The darkest tone is a black Berol Verithin color pencil, which isn't shiny on the paper.

See my posting "How Anybody Can Make Prints" under PRINTMAKING. It has all the details
