Hello,
I am new to wet canvas and have not done pen and ink in a while but thought that I would share a few pieces. It is wonderful to have found this forum where I can be surrounded by amazing artists and hopefully find inspiration and learn a lot from each of you.

Welcome to the P&I Forum. OMG, your work is absolutely wonderful -- I honestly don't think you have too much to learn, as your work is awesome. I really love all of the drawings you have done, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you in the future.

yep, you have the skill but i am having just a bit of problems with the building, the arch way walls and walkway look strange .
and maybe just a bit less shading on the blocks of the building.
but over all all the pictures are very nice.

Nice drawings! Looking forward to seeing more work in the future. Jump in on the monthly series and we can compare techniques. I'm learning a lot that way.

Thank you all. I agree with the building. It was my first and only architectural piece. I have always had an issue with how flat the tree looks and also the sky. I had to do it for my boyfriend's birthday a number of years ago and so had little time to correct it. Then of course it is difficult to correct areas that have become too dark as well. The walkway to the arch isn't visible; it is a strange kind of gate that was difficult to make out on the photograph, but looked solid and smooth as in drawing. I am thinking of trying another building someday so hopefully it will come out better.

Great work!! I'm hoping we'll see some WIP (work in progress) on future pieces. I tend to do that and, personally, I tend to see a lot of things needing work that way as I go.

beautiful work!!! great to see another stippler here!!! I love the leopards the best. I have not had much success with buildings either. I was having major problems with trees until I followed the foliage tutorial that is in the sticky posts at the top of the page. They are a huge help! looking forward to seeing lots more of your work.

Thank you all. You are very kind. It is SO long since I have done pen and ink. I am a little bit of a procrastinator and don't do nearly as much art as I would like. I have done more acrylics in recent years and after doing the December project here it felt good to do some stippling again.

Come join us on the monthly forum- there are some buildings on there you could give a try. I suspect I could learn a lot more from studying you posts, great work.
Welcome!

Thank you Birdhs. Do you mean the monthly project? I am so glad that I found WC. I have always been a bit of a loner when it came to discussing art with other artists (except my Dad who had some art education as a teenager).

Yes! Just scroll around the new posts and you will find it, or go to the bottom of this page and look for 'forum jump', scroll down to pen&ink, click on it and you will see the monthly wip. This is also where you can spend hours examine all previous posts in the p&i forum. There has been many outstanding threads started by others as well as many technical questions posed and answered. So much more fun than just a classroom, and no grades are given.

Thank you. I have already printed out one pic for the January project (I wanted to clarify this is what you meant though; didn't want to miss anything). I have been having a lot of fun reading through past posts. This is my new home on the internet!!!
