I wanted to share with you how I am using my art.
Different books I have read on meditation have suggested creating a quiet spot. A place of saftey and security. I wondered, if I create my own then my land, my zone what do I want for me?
So this is what I imagine, a place so beautiful high in the mountains, surrounded by clear running streams and beautiful blue waterfalls. A place where I could hike and explore. A place where I am one with the divine. And this is what I ve come up with. My little peice of heaven.
Thanks for looking

I cannot see the picture you have here, but I do very much like that idea. The ideal quiet place. How inspiring. I hope we can figure out what is happening with this. I would very much like to see what you have done.

debi-d, you need a closing bracket on the end of your image tag -- it should look like this: [/IMG]

I am glad I checked back on this thread. Your quiet spot is beautiful. I can just hear the water trickling. The positive energy is fantastic!

Great idea, great painting!

I am working on something along these lines myself, except not as a painting to go into. But as a real spot. I have collected many things that I will use in this area, like throw pillows, I have about 11 right now, and want to collect at least 20, I am planning on these being in a corner of the room, having a mobile, paintings that I enjoy, my collection of rocks and carvings and little thingies that I just like to have around (it is getting huge), I want to get some paper laterns to hang fromt he ceiling too, plus other types of lighting that I enjoy. I probably will end up painting some type of murals on the walls of this room, at the same time this room serves as my spot to store my bead boxes for the designer necklaces I create. I have a work table, and a station where I photograph my work that I sell on ebay. I also would like to put up glow in the dark set of planets and stars. I am also playing with some other glow in the dark products to create my own artwork that glows. (I already make glass beads from glow in the dark glass), I am hoping this area will also smell good, I want to have inscense in there and my journals, sketch books, tarot cards, etc....

Debi and Laura, what a wonderful idea! I want to do something like that as well. I don't have a studio, but I can see pretty well where my quiet spot will be... Thank you :)
