Hello,

I've been absent or inactive for some time - not from painting at which I'm pretty regular. I am schizophrenic (nothing romantic about it, just tedious and disruptive) so naturally there are uncommunicative periods. It doesn't really bother me now. Twice a week I attend studios for ex-patients, one for watercolour led by an 84 year-old droll, very accomplished Aquarellist and Grafiker. Thanks to him I sold a painting and completed a modest commission. The other is a large studio attached to the hospital, again led by an exceptional teacher. She has been responsible for encouraging me in some tentative efforts at painting bears and wolves. One painting of a white wolf at rest was exhibited here in Berlin and is on its way to Vienna and Prague. I can't think of anything else to say and it may be a while again before I get back in touch,

Hello Laurie,
thanks for the response. I always find talking about myself quite embarrassing. Your work looks very good. I particularly liked the wolf portrait. I have just finished a painting (about 100 x 70 cm) of a lone polar bear, looking for food I suppose. My wife has a few photos which I'll upload when she gets out of hospital. Till then I hope you continue to produce such good paintings,

I'm sorry about your troubles, netterwolf, but glad to see you back and participating at WetCanvas. Please do post some of the work you've been doing - I know I'm not the only one who would love to see it!

Thanks for replying Rose Queen. After 45 years or so I don't really think of them as troubles, just a way of life, I suppose. It's mostly others who have the trouble,
