Just wanted to share the latest in my colorblind series, the 3rd to be exact. I'm already working on the 4th.

Texas Quarry, Colorblind, 14" x 18", watercolor on stretched paper, just outside Florence, TX (near Austin).

The photo is fairly accurate, but the whites are whiter in reality. It'll be interesting to see what non-watercolorist have to say for a different perspective :)

Thanks for looking,
Nick

it appeals to the color senses and the freedom of space: nice work. Most open space places make me feel at peace but this one seems to have a lonely feeling to it. I think that is related to the troubled lower sky.

I like it very much Chief! It's very forlorn feeling. After Wayne mentioned the lower sky I took a nice long look at that and I really like how you did that. I'm working on piece that could use some of that treatment. The composition is solid. The falling diagonal is powerful!

Great mood, thanks to those low and heavy clouds and harmony of the palette ! I really like the format !

It has a frontier feeling to it - the lonely prairie under a stormy sky... nice!
