Hi all ... I am relatively new here at WC. Have been painting in Watercolour for a couple of years with mixed results. Decided to try out oil painting so I purchased some DVD's from New Zealand artist Richard Robinson.
Here is one of the exercises from those DVD's and my first attempt at oil painting. Love to get your feedback and thoughts for improvement

If this is the first attempt, I'm waiting anxiously for the next ones!...
This seascape is beautiful, clean, filled with space and pure air; insisting in trying something to say, maybe the blue of the background is a bit too intense, approaching the background instead of leaving it behind, but on the other side such blue is so beautiful, so vibrant, that we will forgive it with pleasure...
