I was going through some of the free art lessons posted on Jerry's Artarama website and watched a 5 minute demo by Sterling Edwards on using a palette knife. I decided I would try and play with the idea. Posted is the results of that play. I used a plastic palette knife that I have laying around ( I wiil post a picture of after thy painting. 140 lb CP Strathmore Paper 9 x 12, Lukas paints. C & C welcome. Mike.

Wow, this is very interesting. I like how you handled the trees. I don't think I've ever seen someone using a palette knife for watercolor. Nice work!

Thanks John. I t seems to work well for textured effects. Especially in Birch trees.
