Hi everyone, I have started a series based on music and roses. This is the first of three. They will all be the same format and similar in style.

Nice going Ian... love the 3D effect you managed to achieve with the rose.... (that music piece drove me nuts when I was learning it...lol)

Ian,
I love the work you're doing lately. Can we see a detail?

This is exquisite - there's just no end to your talent. I bet it drove you mad doing all the musical notes and straight lines! Superb work!

This is so realistic, I thought it was the ref photo. How did you paint the music?
It is so perfect.

Thanks everyone, this is a very nice song and I found fitting for this piece. The notes were challenging to paint and very tedious. I achieved painting them by first drawing them in pencil with a ruler. Later I painstakingly painted them in with a 1 round. This was a very slow process. It was very difficult to keep everything straight and to maintain a typed look.

I will post a detail later after I take a picture.

You must have the patience of a saint Ian, and I'd love it on my wall!
