MY COMMENTS:
I've previously done two studies of this piece, one in watercolor (1998) and the other in ink (2000), but, until last week, I wasn't sure how I wanted to paint it. I'm glad I waited.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Does the background distract from the subject?
Anything else?

Would not have considered the background as a separate entity unless directed to so. Fine as is.

Having said that, every change I've witnessed has been an improvement so you might consider the greying as previously mentioned.

The background is now integrated,...without distracting from your subject. You've rendered the remainder of the painting beautifully.
I AM ...........IMPRESSED.Bravo..;)

been to a few rodeos in my time...this is it...feeling mood motion...when the bull dances and you watch, the background blurs or melts a bit...ya got it dead on.

Thank you all for the feedback. I'm currently in Flagstaff with family... gorged on home cooking. Woohoo! ;-)

Merry Christmas!
