They do work as a grouping. I like how they seem suspended in the air. my fav's are the 1st and second.

I like the first two VERY much! Especially #1. Love it.

On #3, I'd like to see the background finished up, and I wish the figs (?) weren't touching the bottom.

I have been watching these in the Pastel forum and simply admiring.
They are all so well explored, and energetic and such a elegant result of a simple idea done in a very sophistocated manner!

I could not think what to say in there. The were so fun to watch and having them all presented here is a group I am thrilled!

Knowing you are a black paper fiend (:cat: ) I am very excited for you and sort of feel like a kindred spirit.
Very very high praise here. Not a think I don't like. LOVE the group.

Thank you all so much for your very nice comments. I'm about to take my first pastels class staring in January and I've been a bit nervous about working from still life setups (that which I had never done before now). I've been in a still life frenzy with setups and lighting and painting. I'm happy that others find these rather vibrant depictions pleasing! :D

dj....kindred spirit absolutely! Your black paper creations have inspired me from day one!
