Maybe you all are already aware of this list, but I just found out about it from a link sent by the Pastel Society of New Mexico. Not a bad list to have on your favorites when that suspicious email arrives asking to buy your painting and have it shipped by sea carton to Saudi Arabia by next Tuesday, or some such nonsense.

Do any of you know of other lists we should keep at hand? I haven't done much research yet.

 There are so many names on that list! Thanks, Deborah. I knew there were scams out there but had no idea there could be this many.

No kidding, and from a quick glance at it, the majority seem to be keeping Yahoo going... though not exclusively, of course!

I was just perusing the list of "phonies". It reminded me of a friend I once knew in the steel mill. His name was Peter Piper... HONESTLY that was his name. He got so much flack over it... he eventually changed it to his mother's maiden name. Can't blame him though.

Saved in my favorites - thanks Deborah.

For those of you with websites on Artspan, there is a forum to list anyone you suspect as a spammer.

I just "delete" instead of even trying to go that path.
