XTN's Analogue Odyssey

Hi people,

My name is Christian, over the last month or so, I've decided to take up "painting" again.

I started of my odyssey (as it were), with a couple of acrylic studies - being somewhat affraid of the drying time of oils, and also the expencse.

Now, over the last week I've dedicated my self to learning oils (water soliuble oils). the following were done on 14x18" canvas panels that I'd devided into 6 with masking tape. They're all from photos, using the Zorn palette (ivory black, titanium white, yellow ochre and Cadmium Red Medium). These are in order of execution:

wow, they are beautiful! I really love the colors and effect you used in the nude especially. And the oils are a wonderful use of the Zorn palette. . . I've read of it, never tried it.
