Hi everyone,

I'm so pleased that Debby (Dr.Debby) agreed to be a guide here in Art Journals. She has been guiding in the Fibre Arts Forum, and she has been here in the Art Journals forum nearly every day. She's such a warm and encouraging person so please join me in giving her a Hip Hip Hooray! :) :) :)

You're welcome, Jackie.

Candace, not to worry. I'm only another set of eyes to help the moderator. I can't actually do any of the behind the scenes magic they can. I can also function as a cheerleader if necessary. ;)

Hi Candace,

A forum guide is a motivator, guiding force and all around presence as friend to the members as well as one who should be looked to for help.

Forum guides work with their forum's moderators to ensure their forum is inviting, active and an asset to the community.

(I copied this from the WC handbook. Hope it helps...)

Well I am impressed. I sure do notice that this is an encouraging world (as the site is titled online living for artists). And it isn't just online fantasy, we are all real people! The moderators and guides do a good job. Thanks for your time!

Thanks Dr. Debby for volunteering your time. And thank you EP for explaining what a guide does. I too had wondered but never got around to looking it up.

Hi Debby; My Internet connection has been very erratic lately, so I didn't realised you've become a Guide. You've been posting in this Forum from the beginning and your comments are always helpful and supportive. Congratulations, I know you'll do a great job!

I understand about the internet. I've been having problems with mine as well. Thanks.
