This is also posted in the Animal/Wildlife forum. 8x10 claybord black. Fur in the background was done with a hard fiberglass brush giving it an out of focus look. The rest was done with a straight pin. Comments and questions always accepted!!

Hi Heather,

Thanks again! I have a thing for eyes, and they are the very first thing I do in a new scratch. If the eyes are not correct or if they are not the mood I am trying to convey the whole piece is scrap. As they say, the eyes are the window to the soul.

What a great subject. I love racoons even though many people consider them pests....lol The eyes are great, but I also like how you let one tooth peek out from under the tongue. That also gives this little guy character :D
