brand new to this...help please

My challenge....customer brings a small plate with a photo in the center. Photo has chips out of it, and she wanted to know if I could paint the colors back into the photo ??!! Since I have not delved deeply into other mediums than watercolor I need help here. I have other medium supplies but am un-sure how to go about this. Anyone here have ideas? Thanks for any help you can offer.... Carol

Hi Carol: Not sure about this either but I do know there are porcilean paints out theresome type of acrylic, I think. I would take the plate into your favourite art supply store and see what they have to say.

Thanks for the response Strawberry...I think I'll just try using some thin acrylics and then a lite varnish over that. Getting to a art supply store for me is a bit difficult -
This plate was never supposed to go into water, but the guy just wasn't thinking and it went into the dishwasher!!! yikes

Good Luck Carol I think that the thinned acrylics should work just fine.
