I got some good advice from the landscape forum before posting here. It's 8x10, Nupastels and some softer ones.
This is the view from the kitchen window at the cottage.

Oh those trees are just wonderful! Love the red of the soil by the water and the reflections of the boats. Very pleasing composition! Not to mention the great view from your cottage...no wonder you like going there! :D

Thanks, Karen, DS and koert!:)
I never get tired of that view. Of course, I left out the 3 sailboats and 2 canoes upside down on our lawn! :D

I really like the band of bright trees running through this, it's exciting and compliments how calm and peaceful it is down by the water. Love the feeling from this!

Great job on this. It's so restful and colorful and rich.

I like this painting very much for the way you have painted the trees. It is very difficult to paint trees, I know by experience. The colors are well selected too.

I love it!

I know it too...
This is very very well done. I don't know what I'm more jealous of, the painting or the view...
Where's it going? I expect you'd want it in your regular home, to remind you of the cottage?

Thanks, Alisa! That band of foliage is what attracted me to photograph, and then paint, the scene.
Thank you for your comments, Barb and Charles . :) And Gunilla, I was thinking I'd send it to my brother in Florida, in hopes that it will motivate him to come up for a visit.
