Super! I love the placid calmness of it and the size. The composition is perfect in its simplicity. Very Zen.

Brent,

It's lovely and very striking in its simplicity! I've watched that moon over the same lake for many years and never tire of it! Any chance I can see the rest of the series?

Margaret.

Allan,

Thank you! Your paintings are beautiful. You have captured all the beautiful moments I have witnessed from the other side of the lake and wished I could paint them myself... Now I wish I could see the entire series...

Margaret.

Margaret: I've been considering posting the entire series of 36 paintings. The hitch is that they are all reproduced as 35 mm slides and scanning them would be a major job. If I do get around to the scanning and posting, I'll let you know. And thanks so much for your interest!

By the way, I visited your site, as well, and was impressed by your work. I'm a big fan of graphite pencil and you work miracles with it.

Allan,

36? Wow, I can see how that would be a big job! But, if you ever get around to it, please do let me know.

Thank you for your comments re: my work. I am feeling this great pull towards colour and paints lately, but graphite will always be my first love.

Margaret.

gad!
There is something so intimate about your relationship with space! Almost like watching people kiss in public!!!

I wanted to comment on a ... an... observation. Not sure how I feel, but there is a shimmer of a digital artifact at the horizon in the whole page that made me smile! Like the mist of water in the distance. Then on the close up I see the clean clarity.
Not sure if I miss it or admire the crispness of the original

VERY stream of consciousness sort of a night for me.
Struck me.
The whole piece.
Gotta strike back with the velvet glove on the cheek.
love

impetuous: "Incredibly restful and serene." Works like it's supposed to then.. :O)).

dj: "There is something so intimate about your relationship with space! Almost like watching people kiss in public!!!" I absolutely adore this analogy. Thank-you!
My photo / scan leaves something to be desired. Painting IS very crisp at horizon and gradations subtler. I'm good for a velvet glove to the cheek anytime...:O))

Cap: "I would love to see you paint. " That's very gratifying to hear.. Thanks. The painting of this, however, was a lot of tedious colour mixing and hours of application. Don't know if you'd last too long in observation :O).

aurorapope: "!!!!!!!!!!!" :O)))))))))))

Wayne: Appreciate the appreciation of a local scene.

Luvy: Thanks, sweetie!
