sorry ?
or proud?

the transforamation (sp) is really cool.

but could you go more into the bands of dark and light ( a differnet(sp) way of seeing)
well, I think so but I think you did not want to.

thanks gerry
.. sorry, if the author of the photo would like to see a representational view but very happy with the view I presented ..

I'm not sure where I am going with my art but I do know I am having fun with all the experimenting I am doing so I would think that things that should and shouldn't be are not necessarily going to be accounted for.

This one holds a lot of interest for me, more than some of your other pieces. Perhaps because there is a lot going on - shapes, colours, light, dark, movement! Well done Wayne:clap:

I like what you have done with the rocks, water, and snow even though it is somewhat representational.

The trees distract my eyes because with the palette knife technique, they are more suggestive of leaves.

Its like you pour all your colors in a bucket then pour it on, like you know exact what measurements like they do at the paint store, then it all just flows on like creamy butter.

Wayne,

I love the loose technique, it always fascinates me, probably because I can't do it!!!:D

The only thing I would like to see is a bit more contrast between the water and the snow. Make water darker or snow lighter. Right now it all melds together and it's hard to tell there IS snow there. But, if that's what you wanted, then it's perfect!

Margaret.

Like others before me, I would suggest a little more contrast and a few highlights on the snow.

You took this in a very nice direction from the reference. Agree with upping contrasts.

thank you ..

allanom ... photos are only starting points .. sometimes one stays close in some areas and other times I wander off into the recesses of my mind and where the paint leads it ..

Nice work Wayne!

I would suggest darkening the shadows in the upper left of your painting. It would help with your perspective. Right now the river seems as if its jumping forward off the canvas. By darkening that area I think the eye would follow the river back.

Like your style. Keep up the good work. Sunny

I kie your brush work very much. Something about seeing the texture of the paint excites me.
