Red pants.

This is close to being done. I have to fix his beard and shoulder, as well as some other issues. I had to walk away from this for a day or two, and so I post to see what you all think.

the upright and reclined aspect of two figures can be indulged in with great pleasure here.
artfully mixed color applied with care to enhance the 2-dimensional layout makes the figures and the figures make 3-dimensional space come alive, and the space is comforting and inviting.

Nice painting. Its got a real nice feel to it. IMO the red is too bright and distrating. Have you tried a lesser intensity, something less powerful? Maybe less of the pants showing could be another option. Just my opinion.
