Here's a quick study of my backyard. It's 9x12 acrylic paper.

I love the colors in your backyard Virginia and you've painted those trees so beautifully - a feast for the eyes and what a lovely scene to see out of your windows.

I wish you had broken up the canvas a little differently, as it is now there are three very distinctly divided sections sitting right on top of one another. Makes for a lacking composition, add some rocks in the water, or someone or something coming out of the frees, something to break up the space and have something to look at.

Virginia, I like this! it has a freshness to it, and the light on the trees is good.

Nayana, thank you for the comments on composition, you're quite right but it's a quick study not a finished piece.
Thank you all for the comments. It's funny how quickly a scene can change at this time of year, we had a hard wind all night and a good portion of the leaves fell.

This is really good. I love it. Definitely a fan of quick studies like this because there's a freeness about it that works for me. Love the colours in the trees and the blended greens across the grass. A great effect.
