I'm not sure about the hollow in the neck, it grabs attention, that said , what you've done so far looks pretty good.
That's a beauty of a first. I agree the hollow of the neck stands out a bit too much, but the eyes and the skin tones are really well done as is the fabric of the hat/turban.

Welcome to our little corner of wet canvas!
Glad to have you here!
maybe lighten the hallow in the neck some around the bottom so its not too distracting, easy to fix with a thin wash of a slightly lighter of our darkest. will alow the underneath to come thru but soften it somewhat.

you're right about the neck (also my little son said that :) ). I'll change it.
thank you all

Big Welcome to the Forum glad you're with us.
I'm a huge fan of Albrecht Durer and am familiar with this portrait. I think you did very well with it and I do agree with comments about the neck, the only other that catches my attention is the length of the chin just a tad bit too long but for a first acrylic on paper yet I applaud you. Well done indeed!!

thank you noodle1, I'll check better the chin and then I'll modify it.

Despite the small discrepancies in the rendering of the Durer painting, I think what I would like to comment on, is your abilitiy to paint in acrylics. If this had been my 5th effort in acrylics, I would have been delighted, and this is only your first!!! You are going to be one very very good acrylic artist.
