Thanks Jerry...
The messy approach suits my personality.
It seems to work out for me it satisfies and makes happy.

Thanks Wayne,

I used to use lots of purple and often as complimentary to yellow. I still do sometimes.
In this one I used mostly greens & yellows, classico's Indian yellow ( I love that one) mixed with other yellow and with raw sienna.
I used some black & some blue.

Next one I will do some purple depending on result I want.

Thanks for the tip it's a good one.

Indian Yellow .. tried it once .. lovely yellow .. someone once tried to ridicule me as a painter by saying I was a messy painter .. what a nice compliment from someone who didn't know anything about art :D

Thanks Wayne for sharing. :)

Someone recently told met to trust my instinct and stop changing my paintings around.

This friend said: Quote:"As more as others say that I am wrong as more I know I'm right." (End quote)

I thought that was very interesting.

I do listen to critical well meant comments, but I have to also know what I feel is right.

Painting is more and more becoming as much about the paint to me as it is about the subject.
it also more about dark and light and design / composition as it has been maybe a year ago.

I am traveling farther away from trying to paint exactly what's in a picture or a scene but more the overall impression I get from what I see and I love thick paint.
