Hi everyone. I haven't been here for a long time. Here is a painting I did in June for our Dragon Boat Festival.
It would be nice to have your comments and critiques. Thanks!

Fabulous colors and design!
I'm not sure what the green cones are, look like something wrapped up.
Great textures around the border.. done very well.

I love your geometric composition and interesting use of colour. The green things look like something wrapped in banana leaves. The fact is I don't need to know what the actual objects are because in this work they are shapes contributing to a striking design. Well done!

:) Thanks a lot for your comments! The green cones are "Zongzi", a traditional Chinese food we eat particularly on the day of "Dragon Boat Festival", made by wrapping sticky rice with bamboo leaves. On this day, we eat not only Zongzi, but also drink some alcohol mixed with a little bit realgar inside which we believe can drive the poisonous insects and reptiles away.
