I put this in oil forum, but then started thinking how the chef is really a large abstract shape, and well, it is contemporary............so here goes.

This a nice one, that I am enjoying.
I particularly like the way you have painted the bottles.

Thanks, Alan and Surreal. Thank goodness we've had dinner parties recently, and there are bottles of wine on hand.
Seven years of live model class, enabled me to make up people, which is how the chef got born. :)
oh the wine…
my tongue fattens with anticipation
i can taste it

Veronica, Wayne and Heh. Thanks so much.
I guess it really is true that we should "paint what we love". Hah!

Aurora, Thanks. Think I will stay with the chefs and tarry a bit. :) I like their world.
Besides, they always have great, dry red wine. Renee

you have definitely captured a nice narrative while using real broad lines and color... I especially like the bottles. so simple yet its clear to me what they are and they are done so well.. and without bogging it down with lots of useless detail. I just loved what you left out - it gives your painting lots of great tension and its a more fun visual for me. If it had more details I think I wouldn't have liked it as much.
