hi there

there is a pen and ink sketch done on paper with a size about 8 * 10 inches.
i have no idea what to do with the hairs or so as here my imagination comes to a halt.
i also would thank somebody for some hair drawing techs in pen or oil.

akmal, could you post a larger picture? 4 or 8 times bigger would be very good - it is very difficult to see anything on this one.

Don't worry so much about individual hairs, but rather render all of the hair together as a mass. Individual strands only show up as details, in a feathery edge, or strokes across a highlight, or places like that, while it's mostly one overall almost-solid shape. You might take a look at Bruce Rohrlach's "Hazelle" topic, as we talked about hair some in that one.

use crosshatching in pen & ink to get the values and textures needed. like drew said, think of the hair as one mass and leave highlights out. really LOOK at the hair and recognize the shapes within it.
