Love this painting! It's great as is! The only thing that may add to the power of this piece is to add some detail and contrast to the road and grass in the foreground to match the detailing and contrast of the trees.

Thanks dhesse, I will sign my name in the grass and if you don't look too close it will look like weeds. I think I will leave the road as is, by the time its framed it will look good enough. Lorijo

The tree looks good indeed with the sparkling red color. I think it will look even better if some of the acid quality of the grass is reduced. In the attached image I reduced the saturation. I also poked a few more blue holes in the tree as I thought the tree looked a bit too solid on the left side (agains the darker green background)...

You may perhaps also want to look at the trunk of the tree as the white there looks a bit chalky. Here is a suggestion where the trunk is slightly warmed up.

Thanks Henrik, I think the acid-green is from the camera or computer, it looks a lot better in real life! I just brought the canvas to the computer, I didn't realise how different it was! I might add the sky holes and warm up the tree trunk a bit. I am going to take it outside and hold it right up to the trunk of the tree. Lorijo :)
