This is a value study for a painting I'm working on. I thought I'd try out this critque section to see what I could learn.
Thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions!

the feet are simply stunning!
i'd make the hand a bit bigger though. as far as value, it seems to have a pretty good sense of dimension.. could probably use a few more lights, though, depending on the final color scheme.
will it be "monochromatic" red?
looking forward to seeing the final piece http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't play an artist on TV either (I only play an artist in my own imagination...) but I still want to comment!

I like this charcter. She has personality galore. The hair is my favorite (although I too am in awe of the feet). It reminds me almost of snakes, like a medusa. It makes her mysterious and interesting. And the red color scheme is perfect - it reflects her intense personality.

I am a newbie to figure drawing so it's easy for me to say what I like... and you have to take with the appropriate grains of salt the more critical comments. The mouth bothered me. It seemed too large and it made me take her less seriously (unless this is what you want). Also, why are her eyes closed? She seemed contemplative and mysterious this way but it left me wanting more. I want to see her eyes.

Anyway, I think it always helps to know what people think even if they are no expert! I really like your work. It's an honor to be able to view it and comment on it! Thanks.
