Hi, I am a self-taught painter, and I'm relatively new to Watercolor; I've primarily worked in oils 'til now. I am going to try to send along a recent painting for your feedback. Bear with me, I don't know if it will post. This is my first time!

bab,,,,,,you're immediate solution is to address your values. note that your sky, sea, and ground are all the same value, so the painting is a bit flat. since the sea seems a bit light, the first thing is to darken it a bit. lighten the sky. then everything will read better.
