I really like your brush (knife?) work! The landscape on this is cool. The leaves too. My first impression was the leaves are painted huge and individually and was wrong, and my second was, "how cool!" Good job! I like this a lot.

I don't think the large splashes of color for the leaves would bother me if it weren't for the fact that you have tiny delicate branches painted right next to them. I think you need to go one way or the other and not try to mix big and loose and small and detailed side by side

I believe you have met your goal of catching the viewers eye with your use of vibrant colors next to cool dark colors. Adding more detail to the leaves and tree trunk will create a more powerful image. The sky seems a little flat, maybe make the blue a little more vibrant and the clouds more contrasting.

thanks all .. in reality I was just going for groupings of leaves but I see that some will see them as leaves so for future I must remember to avoid the smaller branches .. good point.

noted the sky as well but I think that is more digital than reality as my camera does a poor job on blue .. it combines all the suttle colors into a group ..
