I painted this in 1980, I found myself drawn to a black and white picture I saw.
I realized after it was done that it was
a peice of how I feel about how I'm treated and how I treat others.
During this time I was depressed and this peice speaks to that.

Sandi -Thanks for the kind words.
This was done using eggyolk and tube watercolor, I guess you could call it an egg tempera.
The inspiration: This fellow was an inmate.
Trapped and unable to leave his surroundings.
I have felt this way in my life before so the theme really spoke to me.
