I mixed a couple of rods together the other day and got a really cool color. I will tell which colors I used, but I thought I would ask people to guess what I mixed to get this nice blue color.

I don't have a prize or anything, just the knowlege that you are super smart! :D

The hand mixed color is the base blue of the large bead below. The base bead then has the ivory dots encased in clear. The same color is encased in clear in the bead on the top. (These are all hints). {Sorry for the bead poop, this bead hasn't been cleaned out yet}.

Any quesses?

OK, I'm going to guess the moretti light blue (don't have numbers in front of me...) and light turquoise. My theory is that it had to be some color the reacted with ivory to create the black outline...

Could be white and turq...

I think B2 has the answer. White with turq. cased with light grey.

B2 was correct in thinking that one of the colors is causing the black line between the ivory and the blue color. The 2 colors I used were Copper Green and New Violet (273). I thought the blue color was very pretty and I wanted to share. I found it interesting that peculiarities of the 2 glasses used in the mix showed up in the final bead.

Copper Green and ivory cause that black line and the new color did too. Also, when Copper Green is encased, it turns a pinkish/light purple color. When I encased the blue, it turned lighter, almost grey.

New Violet when you put a dot or line on it, turns kinda light purple/grey around the line, sort of spreads out away from the dot/line, and the blue did the same then when the ivory dots where put on, you can see the lighter color under the black line from the ivory.
