I guess not alot of people use gouache. I really love it and have been using it for about 4 years now. I would like to find someone else that uses it so that maybe we can trade tips and techniques. Thank you

Hi Martha
I use gouache and love it. I don't know if I can be of any help. I prefer it over watercolor in the final detail for the obvious reason of its opaque quality and that it does not become progressively transparent with age. I used to make my own in college with precipitated chalk and gum solution but haven't done that in years. My preferred brand is Winsor & Newton and I generally use 300lb Arches.
