I guess not alot of people use gouache. I really love it and have been using it for about 4 years now. I would like to find someone else that uses it so that maybe we can trade tips and techniques. Thank you

Might want to check in the Watercolor forum if you haven't already.

Hi Martha
I use gouache and love it. I don't know if I can be of any help. I prefer it over watercolor in the final detail for the obvious reason of its opaque quality and that it does not become progressively transparent with age. I used to make my own in college with precipitated chalk and gum solution but haven't done that in years. My preferred brand is Winsor & Newton and I generally use 300lb Arches. If you want to look at a couple of my watercolor/gouache paintings click on projects below. It is not a very good scan but I am learning.
