Colored pencil on Windberg medium grey sanded pastel paper, approximately 8"x5".

I scanned this after i applied a liberal coating of Blue Label fixatif. Boy, did it ever brighten the colors up! I did absolutely NO retouching to this scan (for once!)

I think I'll need to tone down the hardware on the harness a tad.

Love this Roan....yeah leave the hardware till the end...glaze shadows here and there to make the far areas recede but leave a few glimmering highlights.

Did you ever come across that foal with its head up?..I would love to try it in the watercolor pencils I just bought.

Oh geez, Darrell, I completely forgot!

SORRY! I'll see if I can find it this morning. My studio is in a zillion pieces because we disassembled everything for the new windows we had installed.

Good, 'cause I couldn't find the box and just remembered that it's buried in the back of my closet. Can't get at it right now because Dee is sleeping and her room is right next to this one. Don't want to wake her up http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'm usually up at 4am. I've pretty much always had trouble sleeping more than 4 hours at a time so I end up having a 2 hour nap in the afternoons.
