View Full Version : Horse face; CP on black paper

This drawing was done on black construction paper with Color pencils. It measures 12" x 10" in size. I had a hard time getting a really good scan because of the dark colors.

And a detail image of the eye.

Cathy, I especially like how you did the eye and the colours you have used. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

This is wonderful!

I only have one small comment regarding the composition:

To me the eye seems to be the focal point of this drawing, but it exists only in the upper region. There's nothing of "interest" below it. Have you though of perhaps cropping this a bit?

Also, would you be able to post a smaller version? 543 pixels high is too big to see all of it without scrolling and a drawing like this needs to be seen all at once. 400 pixels would be better.

Great eye, btw!

I'm almost too impressed to say anything. The way you got the (don't know technical word for it) black around the eye is amazing and so exact if you ask me. This is great!

Don't worry, its gonna be all right....
